استخدام برنامج IBM Personal Communications (Version 5.0)
للبحث عن الكتب في مكتبة الأمير سلمان المركزية لجامعة الملك سعود من خلال الحاسب الشخصي داخل شبكة الجامعة
تحميل البرنامج: بطلب CD البرنامج من مركز الحاسب الآلي بالجامعة هاتف 75741
وهناك موقع البرنامج على شبكة الإنترنت http://www-3.ibm.com/software/network/pcomm مفيد في التحديث و غير ذلك.
تهيئة البرنامج : من داخل البرنامج
1. Press Communications > Configure…
2. Do as shown below
3. Press Link Parameters…
4. Fill in as shown below , then Press OK
5. Press Session Parameters…
6. Do as shown below , then Press OK
7. Press OK again
8. To type in Arabic , Press Edit > Preferences >> Keyboard…
9. Do as shown below , then press OK
10. Choose “ a “, then Press “ Enter “ NOT “ ? Enter “ , then press F1
11. Press Alt + ? Enter (both in the right of The Keyboard), hence the screen appears in Arabic correctly, and you can type in Arabic. Note at this stage “ ? Enter “ doesn’t work, so use “ Enter ” or “ Ctrl ” ( in the right of The Keyboard).
12. “Alt + 5 ” change to Arabic always ( inside The program)
